Fuel Charcoal Industry Standard = Sakura Charcoal, Sakura Bincho Charcoal.
Professional grade Oga Charcoal
Charcoal has been a loved and precious fuel in Japan since ancient times. Because of the little combustion gas that it produces and the strong ability to hold fire, as well as the far infrared rays that cook ingredients without losing their flavor, this is a loved and indispensable fuel for restaurants today to produce top class flavor.
At Nara Tanka Industries, we manufacture and supply Oga Charcoal (Sakura Bincho Charcoal, Sakura Charcoal) that is tailored to applications requiring firepower and sustainable heat.
What is Oga Charcoal (Sakura Bincho Charcoal, Sakura Charcoal)?
Nara Tanka Industries’ central product, Oga Charcoal, is a white fired charcoal.
High-pressure charcoal is produced by machining the raw material (Ogarite – a mixed coniferous/hardwood material) in a high-pressure mold, carbonizing the white charcoal.
Because the white charcoal has a high fixed carbon ratio, it holds fire longer, and burns hotter.
Oga Charcoal Manufacturing Process
Why is food more delicious when it’s grilled with charcoal?
When charcoal is burned, it releases a lot of far-infrared rays with a wavelength of 2-5 microns, helping the heat to transfer well all the way through. Note: Uncarbonized charcoal may produce an unpleasant odor from its gas or smoke, which may impair flavor.
